J.J. Watt appreciates the graciousness of opposing fans while calling Steelers games featuring his brother, T.J. Watt. He has called many Steelers games in his first season as CBS’s No. 2 analyst alongside Ian Eagle.
During a recent matchup against Indianapolis, Watt managed to stay professional despite his brother being a key player for the Steelers. He stated,
“Honestly, it’s not nearly as bad as I think people think it would be.”He explains that he communicates with T.J. before the game, and during the broadcast, Ian Eagle handles the play-by-play, allowing Watt to briefly comment on key plays like a strip-sack fumble that he recovered in the second quarter.
J.J. Watt finds it easier than expected to maintain professionalism while calling games involving his brother and appreciates the respectful attitude of opposing fans during broadcasts.
