Jetstar is expanding its Adelaide network by reintroducing flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport, offering promotional fares from $29. Starting 26 March 2026, the airline will operate up to seven weekly return flights, adding approximately 109,000 new low-fare seats annually. This route reconnects South Australia with Victoria’s Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula, and Geelong.
The service, previously available before the pandemic, will use Jetstar’s Airbus A320 aircraft. The airline is launching a one-way sale fare starting at $29, available from 11:30am (ACDT) today, a limited-time offer reflecting prices from over 20 years ago that is expected to sell out quickly.
“These new flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport provide South Australians with greater opportunities to take advantage of our low fares and are part of a significant increase in flights in and out of Adelaide this year,” said Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully.
She added,
"It’s now easier and more affordable than ever to access Victoria’s popular Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula wine region, Geelong and Melbourne."
The $29 one-way fare sale starts today at 11:30am (ACDT) and is available for a limited time, aimed to encourage early bookings.
Stephanie Tully highlighted the route as a convenient, affordable option expanding travel choices for South Australians.
Summary: Jetstar is enhancing connectivity between Adelaide and Melbourne Avalon with affordable fares and frequent flights, supporting easier access to Victoria’s key destinations.
