Sally Kirkland, the veteran actress recognized for her Oscar-nominated role in the 1987 film Anna, has been hospitalized and is now receiving hospice care, according to TMZ. At 84 years old, Kirkland was diagnosed with dementia a year ago and currently faces serious health challenges including life-threatening infections.
According to a GoFundMe campaign created to support her, Kirkland experienced a fall in the shower while unattended, resulting in injuries to her ribs, foot, as well as cuts and bruises.
