The ninth-generation Toyota Hilux pickup truck has been unveiled in Thailand, marking a decade since the last model. Known worldwide for its durability and versatility, the latest Hilux now features an all-electric variant as part of Toyota’s “multi-pathway approach.”
Alongside the electric model, Toyota plans to introduce a hydrogen fuel cell version and continue offering diesel powertrains. The new Hilux is available in single- and double-cab configurations, with Europe receiving only the double-cab version due to market demand.
Toyota estimates the electric Hilux will travel about 150 miles (240 kilometers) on a full charge, based on the WLTP cycle.
Toyota describes the update as a key step forward for the Hilux, highlighting the electric variant among diesel and hydrogen options.
Summary: The new Toyota Hilux introduces an all-electric powertrain with robust performance and practical capacities, while also expanding options with hydrogen and diesel models.
