The fourth installment in the ‘Terry McMillan Presents’ series, Lifetime’s romantic drama Preach, Pray, Love is directed by Damon Lee. The story centers on a gifted rapper, Charlisa “Charlie” Jones, whose dynamic personality and daring music style both earn her fame and trouble.
After getting into legal difficulties, Charlie serves time in prison and is later sentenced to community service. This brings her into contact with Pastor Kyrus Owens, a dedicated clergyman raising funds for a new home for his congregation. Although they come from very different worlds, an unexpected attraction develops between them.
Despite their differences, sparks begin to fly between the rebellious artist and the devout minister, changing both their lives.
As the pastor’s community questions his dedication and Charlie seeks redemption after her incarceration, their connection becomes a path toward mutual understanding and renewed purpose. Their growing bond improves how both are viewed within their respective communities.
The film visually explores themes of faith, fame, and forgiveness through evocative settings, including a church, a music studio, and other symbolic spaces that reflect both spiritual growth and personal transformation.
A heartfelt drama about redemption and love, where faith and fame collide as a spirited rapper and a devoted pastor discover hope in each other’s worlds.
