ATLANTA (AP) — Brandon Ingram scored 20 points as the Toronto Raptors came from behind to defeat the Atlanta Hawks 109–97 on Friday night, securing their second straight NBA Cup victory and fourth overall.

After trailing by 13 in the second quarter, the Raptors surged ahead 82–81 midway through the fourth quarter on a layup by Scottie Barnes. Immanuel Quickley then hit a decisive three-pointer to make it 85–81, helping Toronto pull away in the opener of a five-game road trip.

For Atlanta, Jalen Johnson led with 21 points, while Nickeil Alexander-Walker added 20 and Kristaps Porziņgis had 17. The Hawks played without All-Star guard Trae Young, sidelined due to a sprained right MCL.

“Atlanta is 1–1 in NBA Cup play,” the Associated Press reported.

Toronto began the season with a victory in Atlanta but dropped four consecutive games before regaining momentum with this current winning streak.
