Hayley Williams has returned with a new song titled “Showbiz,” coinciding with the physical release of her album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party. The track features crisp drums, a vocoder-enhanced chorus, and shimmering synths, presenting a romantic indie pop style.
Produced by Williams and her collaborator Daniel James, “Showbiz” evokes smooth, syncopated grooves similar to those of Phoenix. This connection is notable as Williams previously sampled Phoenix’s 2017 song “Fior di Latte” on her recent track “Love Me Different.”
