During Oasis' performance in Melbourne on October 4, singer Liam Gallagher harshly criticized a fan who threw a flare into the crowd. The incident occurred at Marvel Stadium during the band's final song of the night, "Champagne Supernova."
"To the massive C--- who launched that flare into the crowd last night at the gig in Melbourne, you are one seriously messed up individual and you will get yours, trust me," Gallagher wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
A video posted on X showed the same fan lighting and throwing the flare. The event marked the start of Oasis' Live ’25 Reunion Tour in Australia, which began on July 4. The band has two more scheduled performances in Melbourne and two in Sydney before heading to South America to finish the month.
"Then very quickly I saw it explode and expand a bit further, and then somebody actually pick up the live flare and toss it back in the air and create more fire and smoke in a different area," said attendee Brad Bultman, who initially thought the flare was part of the show. He added that Gallagher reacted by saying, "naughty, naughty, naughty" after the song ended.
Liam Gallagher publicly condemned a fan who endangered the crowd with a flare during Oasis' Melbourne show, highlighting safety concerns at large concerts.
