Born Glenn Reed Clifton Jr. on June 6, 1974, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Young Bleed began rapping at the age of nine. In 1995, he co-founded the group Concentration Camp alongside fellow Baton Rouge artists C-Loc, Max Minelli, J-Von, and Chris Hamilton.

Rise to Fame

His breakthrough came in 1997 with the single "How You Do That," created with C-Loc and later remixed by Master P for No Limit Records. The track helped propel his debut album to number one on Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop album charts the following year.

Later Years

Over the course of his career, Young Bleed released nine studio albums and remained an influential figure in Southern hip-hop. In June 2025, he attended the Master P and No Limit Soldiers Reunion at The Orion Amphitheater in Huntsville, Alabama, marking one of his final public appearances.
