'Volatile' Stalker Left GP Living in Fear During Eight-Month Ordeal

David Taylor, 56, formerly of Tarbolton Crescent in Hale, has received one of the country's longest prison sentences for stalking after leaving his former general practitioner terrified for her safety.

Taylor began his campaign of harassment in August last year, soon after being removed from the GP’s practice for aggressive and disturbing behavior. Once barred, he located her professional profile online and sent her messages. When she blocked him, he created another account to contact her again, this time claiming he needed his medical records transferred to a new doctor.

Despite the GP repeatedly blocking him, Taylor escalated his actions, posting inappropriate comments on her business Facebook page. The situation became more alarming on March 26 of this year when Taylor appeared at her home in Knutsford and asked to speak to her directly.

After opening the door and seeing Taylor, the GP immediately shut it, contacted her husband, and called emergency services.

Knowing that Taylor had discovered where she and her family lived, the victim was left deeply fearful and unable to go about her life as before.

Summary

David Taylor's persistent stalking of his former GP lasted eight months, leaving her traumatized and fearful for her family's safety.
