Emmy winner Sarah Snook stars in Peacock’s intense thriller All Her Fault, adapted from Andrea Mara’s bestselling novel. The eight-episode series, which premiered on November 6, 2025, follows Snook's character, Marissa, a self-made wealth manager whose young son, Milo, mysteriously disappears during a playdate.
Marissa and her husband, Peter (played by Jake Lacy of Apples Never Fall), initially believe their son is safe with a classmate. However, when Marissa goes to pick him up, she discovers Milo is gone.
As both lead actress and executive producer, Snook described the emotional challenges of portraying such a traumatic experience. She emphasized the importance of capturing the truth of the situation without tipping into over-the-top hysteria.
“It is high drama, but like getting into this hysterical, histrionic overreacting … like finding the kernel of truth in these things. Like, ‘What is it like to have your child go missing? What is that like?’ For this person like that, that was the hardest thing to constantly make sure that we were delving down into what is the truthful version of this.”
During the first read-through, Snook wrote a note to herself:
“Must find different ways to cry.”
She explained that she was emotionally overwhelmed and needed to find varied ways to express the grief and desperation, reaching different intensities of distress.
---Author’s summary: Sarah Snook delivers a powerful performance in All Her Fault, portraying a successful mother’s harrowing journey to find her missing son with emotional depth and authenticity.
