Career and Departure Announcement
Livinia Nixon began her journey with the network in 1997 and has been the main weather presenter for 9News Melbourne since 2004. The 50-year-old announced her departure, explaining her desire to prioritize her family as her sons enter their senior school years.
"After 20 years presenting weather on 9News, I've decided to step back from this role," said Nixon. "My sons will both be in high school and I want to be there to support them. It's been a privilege to be welcomed into viewers' homes for so long, but this is the right time for my family."
