Channel 9’s chief footy reporter, Tom Morris, has made a surprise move to rival network Channel 7. At 34 years old, Morris informed Channel 9 on Friday morning that he accepted a lucrative offer from Channel 7, according to Code Sports.
Morris reportedly chose to move because Channel 7 holds the broadcasting rights for both footy and cricket, offering wider exposure. He had been with Channel 9 since January 2024.
“He has agreed to a lucrative offer with rival network Channel 7,” Code Sports reported.
