Remembrance Day Garbage Collection Advisory

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment announces that garbage collection will not take place on Tuesday, November 11, due to the Remembrance Day holiday.

“The Ministry of Public Works and Environment is advising that household waste will not be collected on the Remembrance Day holiday, Tuesday, November 11. Instead, Tuesday’s waste will be collected on Wednesday, starting a ‘roll-over’ collection schedule, finishing with Friday’s waste being collected on Saturday.

This week is designated for recycling collection, and those schedules will remain the same:

Residents may also bring household waste and recycling to the Tynes Bay Public Drop-Off, open Tuesday, November 11, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, then returning to regular hours of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm daily.
