Remembrance Day Kitbag and Commemoration Packs

The Department of Veterans' Affairs has developed new resources to help Australians mark Remembrance Day in a meaningful and personal way.

About the Remembrance Day Kitbag

The Remembrance Day Kitbag offers a collection of materials to support individuals and communities in planning their commemorations. Each item can be adapted to suit local events and personal tributes.

“Our Kitbag contains a range of resources you can customise to suit your event.”

All materials are available for free download on the Anzac Portal, encouraging broad participation and remembrance across the nation.

Commemorative Packs Distribution

To further support the observance, commemorative packs have been distributed to ex-service organisations, schools, and community groups throughout Australia. These packs include educational materials, themed posters, and a 2026 calendar.

The 2025 Remembrance Day poster honours the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and the 50th anniversary of the Office of Australian War Graves (OAWG).

Explore and Participate

The Department invites everyone to explore the Remembrance Day Kitbag and to commemorate those who served and sacrificed, helping ensure their memory endures across generations.

Author’s summary: The Department of Veterans' Affairs provides freely available Remembrance Day resources and commemorative packs to encourage personal and community participation in remembrance events nationwide.
