CNN will feature a streaming-only live cast for Election Night coverage on its subscription-based service “All Access,” targeting younger, digital viewers. This special broadcast won’t be available to traditional TV audiences.
The live cast will be led by Harry Enten and include guests such as radio host Charlamagne tha God, conservative podcaster and author Ben Shapiro, and technology journalist Kara Swisher, among others.
Instead of a traditional desk setup, the group will gather casually on couches, discussing voting returns over food and drinks. Abigail Crutchfield, CNN’s senior vice president of Washington and special-events programming, said:
“We are excited to build upon CNN’s best-in-class election coverage and provide a unique and more casual experience for subscribers to CNN’s new streaming service.”
The intent is to offer streaming viewers an unfiltered, smart, and engaging conversation as results come in, which differs from the usual CNN programming style.
The streaming special will begin at 8:30 p.m. Eastern on “All Access,” accessible through CNN’s platform.
This new CNN streaming event aims to attract digital audiences by offering a relaxed, candid discussion of election returns featuring notable media personalities, available exclusively on “All Access.”
