Remembrance Sunday: Services and Parades in Shepherds Bush and Fulham

Remembrance Sunday offers an opportunity to honor the service and sacrifice of our armed forces. On Sunday, 9 November 2025, services and parades will take place in Fulham and Shepherds Bush, welcoming all members of the community and dignitaries from Hammersmith & Fulham Council.

Commemoration Details

The ceremonies will observe the moment at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, marking the end of the First World War in 1918 when the guns of Europe went silent. These events also remember sacrifices made during the Second World War and all conflicts since.

Shepherds Bush Memorial Service

The procession starts at Sulgrave Road, near Shepherds Bush Road, at 10:25 a.m.
The open-air service takes place at the war memorial on Shepherds Bush Green.
Councillor Sharon Holder, Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham, and Youth Mayor Albi Fenner will attend.
The service will be led by Father Richard Nesbitt from Our Lady of Fatima Church in White City and Reverend Cameron Collington of St Simon's Church, Shepherds Bush.

Parade Participants

The parade along Shepherds Bush Road will include:

Local Army reservists and Army cadets
The Burma Star Association
Faith leaders
Hammersmith Scout groups
Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade cadets
St John Ambulance
Community groups

Piper Fergus Collington, accompanied by Thames Fanfare Brass, will lead the parade.
